Clara Artschwager | Creative Director
Channeling Contessa was founded in January 2011 as a way for me (Clara) to stay creative outside my day job. It has since grown into a go to resource for recipes, entertaining, inspired living, and more for tens of thousands of readers each month. My work has been featured in Ladies’ Home Journal, on the Huffington Post, A Cup of Jo, Food 52, the Glitter Guide, and The Everygirl, and lovingly mentioned on Saveur.com. Outside of CC I run my own boutique consulting agency, Clara Persis, which specializes in helping brands go social to grow their business. Learn more about my services here.
At CC we believe in a sophisticated yet down to earth way of living, eating, cooking, and entertaining. What will you find here? Classic recipes done really well, simple entertaining tips, guidance on food photography and styling, and everything in between when it comes to eating, cooking, and entertaining. Beyond that I share insights and lessons learned from running my own business, as well as snippets of my life outside the kitchen. Interested in getting in on all of that? Subscribe and receive email updates on our homepage! And of course, if there’s ever anything you want to hear about- let me know! I absolutely love hearing from my readers. You can contact me at .

When she’s not strolling the farmers’ market or getting her passport stamped in faraway places, you can find Lauren entertaining at home in a great outfit with great friends and great food. By day she manages social media for American Girl, and by night she pens the lifestyle blog Perpetually Chic, a destination for plate, closet and home inspiration. Detail-oriented at heart, she believes that small details can create lasting impressions.
